What’s New
Notification of Public Board Meetings
We post notices of the Yuma School District One board meetings in the window at the district office located at 450 W. Sixth Street, Yuma, Arizona, 85364. You’ll also find notifications on the Governing Board page, and we also send them to the local media via email. The public may access current and previous board meeting agendas in our archives. We will post the agendas 24 hours prior to meetings. The board and administration welcome public comment. Members of the public are invited to attend board meetings. Any individual may comment on any listed agenda item by completing a request form available at each meeting. The board is subject to Arizona’s Open Meeting Law, which limits discussion to those subjects included on the agenda for each meeting.
Average Teacher Salary
The average salary of all teachers employed in the fiscal year 2024 (budget year) was $53,566. The average salary of all teachers employed in fiscal year 2023 (prior year) was $49,599. The increase in average teacher salary from the prior year is $3,967 with a percentage increase of 8 percent. The average salary of all teachers employed in fiscal year 2018 was $36,644. The total percentage increase in average teacher salary since fiscal year 2018 is 46 percent.
