We share stories of student success, promote district initiatives, and provide timely, accurate information to families, staff, and the media. Our goal is to foster transparency, celebrate achievement, and ensure consistent and clear communication across all schools and departments.

Media Guidelines
The following guidelines ensure all local outlets receive equal access to information in a timely manner and protect student and staff privacy in accordance with FERPA and district policy.
- All official media releases and statements on behalf of Yuma School District One will come directly from the district’s communications office.
- All interview requests with district staff, administrators, or school representatives must be coordinated in advance through the communications office.
- All requests for filming or photography on district property must be approved through the communications office.
- Any individual interviewed without prior coordination with the communications office is speaking as a private citizen and does not represent Yuma School District One or any of its schools.
- Please allow reasonable time for responses, particularly during after-hours or active incidents.
