We value our partnership with local journalists and strive to provide them with timely and accurate information.

All media requests should be directed to the communications coordinator. Please contact:

The following guidelines ensure all local outlets receive equal access to information in a timely manner and protect student and staff privacy in accordance with FERPA and district policy.

  • All official media releases and statements on behalf of Yuma School District One will come directly from the district’s communications office.
  • All interview requests with district staff, administrators, or school representatives must be coordinated in advance through the communications office.
  • All requests for filming or photography on district property must be approved through the communications office.
  • Any individual interviewed without prior coordination with the communications office is speaking as a private citizen and does not represent Yuma School District One or any of its schools.
  • Please allow reasonable time for responses, particularly during after-hours or active incidents.

A printed and digital summary of district departments, programs, schools, data, and more.
